ROBERT DANIELSON
NORWAY- Robert V. Danielson, age 89 of Norway went to be with the Lord on July 4, 2010 at Dickinson Co. Memorial Hospital in Iron Mountain, MI.
He was born on December 26, 1920 in Norway, the son of the late Walfred and Signe (Anderson) Danielson.
Bob graduated from Norway High School in 1938.
He served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He married Wanda Glazier on July 10, 1947 in Marlette, MI. She preceded him in death on February 1, 2003.
Together with his wife Wanda, he owned and operated Danielson’s Greenhouse in Norway from 1947 to 1983 when they retired.
He was active in the Community Bible Chapel, Evangelical Covenant Church, Gideon’s International, Norway-Vulcan Kiwanis Club, the Norway-Vulcan Senior Center, a former board member of Child Evangelism Fellowship, WRVM Radio and a leader of Christian Service Brigade.
Bob was an avid Norway sports fan and was honored as the Friend of Norway.
Bob is survived by his son James (Shelly) Danielson of Iron Mountain; daughters Linnea (Rodney) Mueller of Champaign, IL., Sally (Michael) Bal of Norway, Faith (Jeff) Willis of Lake In The Hills, IL., and Paula (Jim) Roberts of Duncanville, TX; grandchildren Annika and Trang Danielson, Jonathan, Daniel, Peter and Johanna Mueller, Annie and Jill Bal, Andrew, Amy and Amanda Willis, Jared (Casey), Daniel (Chelsea), Ben and Joel Roberts; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded by his son Mark Danielson and daughter in-law Jodi (Laux) Danielson, grandsons David and Elliot Danielson, brothers Irving and Peter Danielson and sisters Ruth Peterson and Irene Welch.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 7 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Evangelical Covenant Church in Norway.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, July 8 at 11 a.m. at the Evangelical Covenant Church with Rev. Lonnie Wilson, pastor of Community Bible Chapel and Rev. James Danielson, officiating.
Bob's grandson's will serve as pallbearers.
Interment will follow at the Norway Township Cemetery.
